Notice Big Post on Photography Blog

Okay this time I'm serious! It's officially time to separate business from family life. So if you really really really want to see what I've been up to you are just going to have to go to my photography blog {period}. And make sure you add it to your google reader or whatever you may use. I don't know how else to say...so at least here is a little clue.

My new goal, as most of you can probably relate, is to post family business on the family blog. So tomorrow I plan on starting that new trend. Get back to the basics.

Last week we went to SLC to have my friend and talented photographer Jessica Kettle take our pictures...so here is a little tease of what's to come. Jessica took the pictures and I get the pleasure of editing them. {A little tuck here..and a little face lift there} hehe!

Tricks and Treats

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe halloween. The treaters are just about ready to head out. In fact they are starting to come in by the truck loads. I have been working on some fun treats lately and they are almost ready to share. Save some tricks for me...

Brynlee is Olivia's BFF. They are inseparable and in fact are starting to act more like sisters than just friends. We had so much fun playing with my new petticoats. Wouldn't you just love to have eyes that color and skin that soft. Lucky Girl.

Brand New Baby Wanted and More Classes.

Tonight I made a splurge of a purchase. Of course, it has to do with another photography prop. My husband either rolls his eyes or laughs every time I come home with another old {new} treasure for myself. I thought about taking a picture to show everyone, but I would rather it be a surprise with an actual baby inside. So now that I have you wondering what this fantastic new prop is...listen on.

So here's the deal...I am looking for a brand new baby to help me play with my new prop. This new babe needs to be less than 2 weeks old. I don't know any expecting mothers who are ready to pop so if you are or know someone who is send them my way. I will offer you a smokin' deal of a photo session. Let me reassure you, you will not want to pass this one up.

I am still going to post some before and afters of my photoshop class it just has to get in line. We had a great time and I love to see what everyone has been doing.

More Classes

I am thinking about teaching a basic photography class and another advanced photography class. If anyone out there is interested let me know so I can actually get serious about it. This time around we are going to have some fun prizes, like maybe a fantastic Lastolite Tri-Grip reflector or even a Expodisc for doing a custom white balance. So if you want to take a class and want to get started in on the fun, blog about me on your blog {get one entry} and put a link back to me so we can spread the word {get a second entry}. Rockin' Babe!

It's amazing how fast kids grow up. Tonight when I was editing these pictures my husband asked, "Who is that...Is that Isabella?????" He couldn't believe it. He almost didn't recognize her. Granted he sees her everyday and maybe the hat threw him off, but still she's not one of our babies anymore. I attempted to take some of Max also but it just wasn't happening. We were running out of light and time, so maybe tomorrow he will be our rockin' dude?!

Perfect Class...Perfect Model

What a perfect day for a Photography class. I had the best students. Here is a little preview of our stunning model. After our Photoshop class on this upcoming Wednesday, I'll post some of the before and after shots of what the girls learned...so stay tuned.

Baby Ayvree

My 4 year old guy...who can still be bribed with a lollipop

Harris is probably the hardest boy to photograph. He is a wiggly, face makin', can't hold still 4 year old boy. But mamma knows best. He will do almost anything for some candy. So when nothing else works, I bring out the good stuff.

A Boy and his Thumb.

I was working on some pictures tonight and had to post this one. 

This is a classic look we get from Maxwell. Thumb in mouth with blanket, usually covering his hand under his nose. Max didn't even suck his thumb as a baby, he took a binkie. We took his binkie away shortly after he turned one. No problems what so ever. Well 6 months later, thanks to our lovely daughter who loves to play house and has multiple babies...had a real binkie she used for "her babies", left one laying around and guess who found it. Yep Max, and he started sucking on it. Well I quickly threw it away and then a little bit later he started sucking on his thumb a little bit here and there. As the weeks went on I noticed it was more frequent and not just when he was sleepy. Now he sucks his thumb all the time. I've tried putting the yucky stuff for nail biting and he just sucks it off. So now I don't know what to do with him. He has old man thumb syndrome, it's all wrinkly. So at least I have a picture to remember this phase, which I hope doesn't last forever. Any suggestions out there????? I'm open to many.

Finally a day without rain!

It's been raining here for almost the whole month of June.  So on Friday when there was a break in the clouds we headed outside.  One good thing about all this rain is it makes everything so green and beautiful.

Part 1

I had the opportunity to spend an evening with the amazing photographer Jessica Kettle.  I love her photos and wanted to see how she rolls...  I brought my beautiful daughter with me to be my model.  Lucky me..I now have more amazing pictures of her.

Baby Love and Don't Miss Out.

First the Baby Love Part:

Almost 2 weeks ago my friend Ali came over and we took some fun baby pictures. I love to experiment with the babes cause they usually don't complain too much. Between Ali and I we have 8 kids. So imagine 7 kids running around, one dog trying to be in on the action and then the newbie trying to fit in. We managed pretty well. Thanks Ali for letting me use your baby to get that photography fix..You're the best!









We're so glad that captured this little dude when we did cause Ali said that he gain a whole pound in one week and is chunking out. That's a good reminder...Make sure you schedule your photo shoot with in the first 2 weeks of the newbie's life to make sure you get that baby fresh look.
